I am a Core Psychiatry Trainee working in the NHS.

I trained as a doctor at the University of Birmingham and qualified in 2015. I then worked for two years as a hospital doctor, rotating every 4 months through different specialties.

Psychiatry has always been my passion and special interest and I am lucky enough to be on a psychiatry training programme, hoping to eventually qualify as a consultant psychiatrist. This means I move jobs frequently and experience all types of mental health services all over the country.

Given this unique experience, I wanted to start sharing some of my thoughts and musings online about things that I think you would be interested in.

This is my blog about all things mental health related. I do not give medical advice online but I write about topical issues relevant to mental health that appear in the media along with breaking down research and guidelines.
